Good Friday... Tioman getaway! 04/05/2010
![]() Island in the clouds! One long weekend over at Tioman! Clear blue sky and sea. The travelling time was horrible (had to reach Grand Central Hotel at 6.15am to catch the coach and then an hr ferry ride from Mersing at 12.30pm...) Stayed at Happy Inn... The room is not as how I would have liked it to be but it definitely lived up to its name. The owners and staff were so hospitable!!! Always a smile on their faces and so willing to help:) The food is great and plentiful, so we never went to anywhere hungry! For the 2 days, we would trek through a jungle to get to Paya beach where it is less rocky and definitely looks more like a beach. Great exercise before a dip in the sea;) Snorkelling is great for those who do not have a fear of deep water (I realised i do...) My colleague even caught sight of a small shark! BUT kayaking to see other beaches, everyone MUST try!!! Next time I go there, that is one thing I'll allocate half a day to. Anywhere just a summary, I took a 3D2N package from WTS. The package price included all meals, chalet, snorkelling trip, feeding trip in the marine park etc. It rained heavily for the 2 nights I was there, so might have been better to go in May. My choice of accommodation for some good pampering: http://www.japamalaresorts.com/Malaysia-boutique-resort-Tioman-Island.html Cheers! Zin Cryz-friendly 01/27/2010

Zin Zin Zin Zin Zin Zin Zin Zin Zin Zin Zin Zin Where is your Macau story? Plurk 10/21/2009
I have not been blogging for 2 months - on my own site. Because I'm addicted to www.plurk.com. I think my Taiwan travelmates (who are using Plurk - thanks to me) know more about what's happening to me than my mummy. LF Typhoon Morakot 08/11/2009
Omg! Typhoon Morakot is getting deadly in Southern Taiwan. Hope it doen't affect my Taipei trip. :( LF Hello! Taipei! (again) 07/25/2009

其实此行台北游也并不是全然完美的。间中还是包含了些遗憾,促使我有「再来」的推动力。 Ling Fong visits Taipei: Taipei 101 04/16/2009
![]() For that whole afternoon when I was in Taipei 101, I was wondering why I have no common sense for so many years, believing that the Taiwanese drama were deliberately filmed near the skyscraper in order to show it in their background. After I went one round on the 89th storey then it came to me that, if I can see almost the entire Taipei City from Taipei 101, doesn't it implies that everywhere in Taipei City can see Taipei 101 too? The weather was not favorable for a Taipei 101 visit that morning. Unfortunately I have packed the schedule too tight that we have to go up no matter what. So, we missed the chance to go to the outdoor 91st storey. And even on the 89th floor, we could not see a lot too. But it was fine since the scenery was not the main point. |
